We all know the reputation of New Jersey drivers, but are we getting a raw deal on that generalization.

I was driving on Route 35 in Sea Girt a few days ago in that notorious traffic spot just before the circle. It's an area where everyone is trying to get on and off the road in the same area and the back up at the traffic light can be unbearable.

It's an area where you would expect frustration levels to be high and frazzled drivers to be nearly out of patience. What I saw though, was a lot of drivers resigned to the fact that they were stuck there for a few minutes and handling it pretty well.

No one was feverishly inching their car up so no other car could get in front of them. I didn't see drivers mumbling to themselves about the driving of others. I actually saw drivers letting others in, and I saw something you 'd never expect to see if you believe the reputation of Garden State drivers. I saw patience.

Was I just driving at a rare moment? Was I moving along in a parallel universe, or are New Jersey drivers a lot nicer than we get credit for? Take the poll and let us know what you think.
