It's become the new pastime here at the Jersey Shore. Avoiding the people who are sneezing, coughing, clearing their throat and sniffling has become a top priority, and so has trying not to touch anything anybody else touched.

But experts are saying it's not just the flu that's making us feel bad. It's also a tough time of year if you suffer from allergies. According to accuweather.com, the problems this time of year include pet dander and mold. We catch a break for the most part from dust mites this time of year because of the temperature.

So what do you do if you are suffering from allergies? Of course, check with your doctor about medications that may relieve your symptoms. According to the article, if it's pet dander that gets you, try to keep the pets out of the bedroom. Easier said than done, right?
