Monmouth Beach Named Second Best in America

There's a lot of beach in the U.S. That's why we're honored that Money.com has named one beach in Monmouth County the second-best in the entire country!

Money.com recognized their 7 top picks around the country for a beach vacation.

Asbury Park ranked #2!

The magazine took into account lifestyle, entertainment, and affordability siting Asbury Park's beautiful beaches and its old and new attractions like Stone Pony and the Biergarten and new Asbury Lanes as examples.

In terms of affordability, Money found that the average airfare to Asbury Park is only $293. They say that hotels cost about $185 a night which I find questionable. The Asbury and Ocean Club aren't even at that price in the offseason. Money mag priced a  full week in Asbury Park at around $2,600.

What's not questionable is Asbury's music, cuisine, art, and history. And sure, I may be a little biased. After all, 94.3 The Point's summer home is on the Asbury Park boardwalk with New Jersey Natural Gas.
