Asbury Park Named Among Coolest Beach Towns in US

Here at the Jersey Shore, we know each beach town has its own flavor and identity...and one has just been named one of the coolest in the country!

Congrats to Asbury Park on making Business Insider's list of the "20 Coolest Beach Towns in America!"

It is the only place from Jersey to make the list, which includes hot spots like Ft. Myers, Florida; Bar Harbor, Maine; and Santa Barbara, California, among others.

The list was based three things: it had to be small (no major cities allowed), it had to be a place that's buzzing year-round, and there had to be things to do outside of the actual beach.

When you take all that into consideration, it basically screams Asbury Park, which is certainly one of the coolest towns around.

I love that they mention some of the amazing places in Asbury that never get enough attention, like Lola's European Cafe, Mogo, and Asbury Lanes, along with a list of cool things to do, like visiting the art galleries along Cookman Ave., taking the kids to the Splash Park on the boardwalk, and bringing the pups to the doggy Yappy Hour at the Wonder Bar!

Luckily, local summer is right around the corner, and we get to really enjoy everything AP in all it's splendor!
