If someone asked you if New Jersey was beautiful in the fall, you'd say yes, right? You would probably talk about all the great and gorgeous Garden State spots that explode with color when the leaves change. If so, you are really not going to like the ranking our state recently got in the 'Best States To Visit in the Fall' category.

New Jersey is apparently not even close to being among the top states in America for a fall trip. At least not according to a study published by Lawn Starter. We aren't even in the top half of the states in this study.

So, what happened? How can New Jersey be ranked the 33rd best state to visit in the fall when there is so much to do here this time of the season and so much beautiful fall foliage?

Well, it turns out the study focused on three categories; Fall scenery outdoor activities and entertainment, and frankly the numbers for New Jersey stink. Here's how we ranked in each of those categories.

Fall Scenery...31

Outdoor Recreation...25

Entertainment...34

You're not going to get a good overall ranking with numbers like that, and we didn't. But we do maintain that New Jersey is a fun and gorgeous place to be in the fall, despite this report.

And we want you and your loved ones to enjoy this amazing time of year in the Garden State. Check out some great New Jersey Fall suggestions from our friends at Visit NJ.
