When people pass us on the boardwalk and ask for the store with all of the retro clothes, I immediately know they are looking for Bettie’s Bombshells.

I remember when Tara aka “Bettie” first opened her shop right across the boards from us.  She caused quite a buzz on the boards with her pink leopard floor and Elvis impersonator.  Watching Tara grow her business has been one of the highlights of our summer broadcasts.

In 2018, she relocated her bombshells to a larger space near Playa Bowls and the Iron Whale, where she sponsors fashion-inspired live events showcasing her custom designs and singing talent.  As we continue with what has now become our summer tradition, broadcasting live from the NJ Natural Gas Asbury Park Boardwalk Studio, I am happy to report you can still indulge your inner bombshell and comply with the current distancing rules.

Follow Bettie’s Bombshells on Instagram or Facebook and schedule a free video chat appointment, where you can tour the store and shop for dresses, shoes, vintage cosmetics, bathing suits and accessories from petite to plus. Tara will walk you through a personalized virtual fitting, serve as your personal stylist and provide you with make-up demos.  Your purchase can be shipped or you can opt for the contactless curbside pick-up.

New this year, Bettie’s Bombshells will be featuring custom designs, including the vintage kimono collection and the exclusive Gatsby gown limited collection.  After your purchase, you can post your picture featuring your new purchase on Bettie’s Instagram and join the other Bombshells.
