TOMS RIVER — With the opioid epidemic ravaging the country and claiming lives every day, Ocean County now has a haven for those suffering from addiction to get proper treatment.

Crossroads Treatment Centers announced that they had opened a brand new state of the art facility in Toms River with a mission of fighting against the epidemic and "eradicating the disease from Ocean County and throughout New Jersey," Pierce Wylie, director of business development for Crossroads, said.

The new clinic is located at 751 Route 37 West in Toms River.

Those who are seeking treatment can walk into this location with or without an appointment, "Our goal is to make treatment accessible to residents of Ocean County," Wylie said.

The Greenville, South Carolina company operates more than 90 clinics in 10 states and is dedicated to providing the highest quality treatment options to help combat the growing opioid epidemic, and provide a road to recovery.

"Like many communities throughout the nation, Toms River has been hit hard by the opioid crisis," Thomas Kelaher, Mayor of Toms River, said. Kelaher goes on to say that the opening of the clinic is a critical step forward for the community, "…and helping our friends, family members, and neighbors get the care they need to overcome addiction."

The new location now has several job openings for qualified medical professionals. Interested applicants can see positions at www.crossroadstreatmentcenters.com.
