Brick Police have arrested an Atlantic City man who was found with 27 bricks of heroin inside his vehicle during a traffic stop on Friday morning.

An Officer spotted a suspicious vehicle near the Wawa on Drum Point Road around 12:30 am and later conducted a stop in the parking lot of the 711 on Chamber Bridge Road after the driver failed to maintain his lane.

Police spoke to the driver and passenger who were telling different stories of where they were coming from and where they were going to the responding officer plus backup on scene.

A K-9 Officer and his partner Echo then arrived on scene and upon a sniff of the vehicle he found CDS which turned out to be about 1,308 wax folds of heroin.

The driver, Bilal Freeman, 26, Atlantic City, was then arrested and charged with Possession of Heroin, Distribution of Heroin and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

He was also issued two motor vehicle summonses for failing to maintain a lane and possession of CDS in a vehicle.

Freeman was processed and transported to Ocean County Jail.
