Trying to stick to a budget is something people are aware of, but it's still very difficult.

More than 2 in 3 Americans say that budgeting better is one of their top priorities for 2025, with many having to use credit cards to cover the cost when they go over budget.

Here in New Jersey, we're not the worst, but we're also not the best.

And considering how expensive it is here in the Garden State, the results aren't really too surprising.

Another key takeaway from the survey is that nearly 1 in 5 people admit they are not honest with themselves when making a budget.

Coming in at #21 on the list, many New Jerseyans are working 2 or 3 jobs to cover those extra expenses.
