Ocean County summer job fairs taking place this weekend!

It may still feel very much like winter but summer is right around the corner, which is a good thing because it means beach days, boardwalk days, lots of time outside with family and friends.

This also means that summer jobs are opening up.

Earlier this week, Wawa Inc. announced its goal of filling several summer positions across locations up and down the Jersey Shore.

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection also issued an announcement this week that they are accepting applications for summer jobs as lifeguards, office workers, nature educators, and more at all their state parks and beaches.

Now, the Ocean County Board of Commissioners has announced that Casino Pier and Breakwater Beach in Seaside Heights and Jenkinson's Boardwalk in Point Pleasant Beach will both be hosting job fairs on Saturday and Sunday with both companies looking to fill over 400 jobs at each of their respective locations.

“Ocean County’s summer tourism industry brings a lot of business to the area, including thousands of summer jobs,” Ocean County Commissioner Joe Vicari, who serves as the liaison to the Ocean County Division of Business Development and Tourism, said in a written statement. “These jobs are a great opportunity for our local residents, from teenagers, and college students to our seniors and summer visitors, to earn money and help build our economy.”

The Casino Pier and Breakwater Beach job fair is scheduled from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm on Saturday at the Casino Pier Arcade, 800 Ocean Terrace, Seaside Heights.

The Jenkinson Boardwalk job fair is taking place on Sunday from 12:00 pm until 3:00 pm at the Boardwalk Bar and Grill, 401 Boardwalk, Point Pleasant Beach.

You can apply for a number of job positions here as well including game operator, ropes course facilitator, ride operator, gift shop and candy store associates, food and beverage, concessions, grounds attendant, arcade attendant, busser, beach gate attendant, beach attendant, and security.
