Castaway’s Pub In Lavallette, NJ Unveils Brand New, Chic Outdoor Area
Welcome to the Jersey Shore family, Castaway's Pub!
Not too long ago, I told you about a new restaurant and bar that had opened up in Lavallette.
I visited in early June when the place was still pulling things together!
First, a little recap:
The place has a relaxed, beachy vibe. I imagine you would hit up this place after spending the day at the beach.
There is a huge bar that serves as the vocal point of the place. There are surrounding tables if barstools are not for you.
I was able to hit up Castaway's for dinner over the 4th of July holiday weekend and great news, their outdoor area is finished!
There is a bar with 10 to 12 stools along with outdoor tables, beautiful blue umbrellas and string lights.
It is relaxing, especially on a beautiful Summer night.
I went a different route with the food and drinks this time.
I tried a blueberry lemonade cocktail which has blueberry Stoli vodka and fresh muddled blueberries. It hit the spot.
My friends and I got the drunken clams, Caeser salad and mozzarella sticks for appetizer and a round of build-your-own burgers for dinner.
The burgers were juicy and tender. The buns could have been toasted a smidge more but I went home with a food baby.
On top of it all, the table decided to try this towering chocolate for two. It wasn't as tall as I had thought based on the menu's descriptions but it was chocolatey heaven. I'll say that much.
Have you come across a Jersey Shore business that you think I should try?
