I know it is a painful topic of conversation but we must do it this time of year...EVERY year...so you had to see it coming.

As the Summer season, or pardon, the EXTENDED Summer season comes to a close, all of your favorite seasonal hotspots are announcing their closing dates for the upcoming winter season.

I know....sad.....

Something to keep in mind: this coronavirus pandemic turned the Jersey Shore upside down this Summer and as a result, a lot of restaurants are trying to remain open as long as possible to make up for lost business.

This is an update added to the article at APP.com: "Gov. Phil Murphy announced Monday that restaurants can resume indoor dining at 25% capacity on Friday. Many restaurants are working to accommodate his decision, which may change prior plans for the remainder of the summer season." 

So let's take a look so you can be sure to plan one final visit to your favorite spot before it's too late!

Avon Pavilion, Avon - Will close on Sept. 7th.

Aztec Bar, Seaside Park - Already closed.

Biggy's Beach Grill, North Beach Haven -- Plans to close early October but no specific date has been announced.

Bird and Betty's, Beach Haven -- Will be open through October.

Black-Eyed Susan's, Harvey Cedars - Hopes to stay open through the end of October.

Black Whale Bar & Fish House, Stafford -- Will remain open as long as possible. (Last year, they closed on Dec. 31st)

The Boondocks Fishery, Red Bank -- Will be open until October. (They usually close mid-September)

Boulevard Clams, Surf City -- This restaurant is going to "play it by ear" when it comes to a closing date. It will depend on staff availability.

Crabby Jack's, Somers Point -- Will be open as long as possible. No closing date in site yet.

The Crab House at Two Mile Landing, Wildwood - Will close on Columbus Day in October.

Delaware Avenue Oyster House, Beach Haven -- Will mostly likely close by the end of September.

Gazebo Grill & Sushi Bar, Beach Haven - Will be open through first week of October.

Moby's Lobster Deck, Highlands - Outdoor deck will be open for as long as weather allows.

Mud City Crabhouse, Stafford -- Outdoor dining will be open as long as weather allows. Take out will be open "as long as its feasible."

Parker's Garage, Beach Haven -- Will be open through October.

Park Seafood Clam Bar, Seaside Park -- Will be open on weekends only after Labor Day. Closing date will be decided based on weather and traffic on the boardwalk.

Quahog's Seafood Shack, Stone Harbor - Will close mid-October.

Quincy's Original Lobster Rolls, Wildwood -- Already closed after a storm destroyed their roof.

Quincy's Original Lobster Rolls, Cape May Mall -- Will be open through December

Quincy's Original Lobster Rolls, Cape May Beach & Ocean City -- Will be open through mid-October.

Red's Lobster Pot, Point Pleasant Beach -- They usually close at the end of September but this year, the owner said they are, "going to try and hold out as long as they can, if weather is on their side."

Runners Seafood Restaurant & Market, Lavallette - Already closed on Labor Day.

Russo's Italian Restaurant, Ship Bottom -- Already closed for the season on Sept. 7th.

The Sandbox Cafe, Ship Bottom -- Already closed on Sept. 7th.

Santeria, Seaside Heights - Will be open through October as long as weather cooperates.

Sea Dogs Grille, Barnegat -- Already closed in early September.

Shore Fire Grille, Surf City -- They will close on Sept. 27th.

Spicy Cantina, Seaside Heights -- They will be open until October but outdoor dining will only be available on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

The Terrace Tavern, Beach Haven -- Indoor dining will allow this hot spot to remain open year round.

Viking Fresh Off the Hook, Barnegat Light -- Will be open through mid-September.

Woodie's Drive-In, Ship Bottom -- Will be open until the end of October and potentially later depending on the weather.
