Pathmark in Brick shut its doors in 2015. That space has sat vacant ever since. However, we've gotten word that a specialty-chain in North Jersey is moving in!

If you are familiar with North Jersey and towns like Clifton, Denville, Fairfield, North Arlington, and Wayne, you've undoubtedly heard of Corrado's Market. We're excited to report that Corrado's will be opening at the old site of Pathmark late next year.

Brick residents have been begging for a grocery store in the Laurel Square for quite some time. There were rumbles of Shoprite moving in, but nothing materialized.

Nothing against the large grocery chains, but I think this going to be even better for the area.

Corrado's is a family-owned third-generation family-owned specialty grocery store. It will feature all of the necessary departments with produce, meat department, deli, fish, and a specialty Italian grocery. Corrado's will occupy all 30,000 square-feet of real estate and will have a liquor store as well.

Talking to Asbury Park Press, Paul Corrado, president of Corrado's Market said

If I had a dollar for every time somebody asked me to open in Brick, I'd be able to retire right now.

Congratulations to the Corrado family and we look forward to having you in Brick!
