They're good for some quacks but the geese along Lake Horicon aren't looking for food when you listen to them talk.

Lakehurst Police are reminding visitors to the lake that the borough has an ordinance against feeding the wildlife.

When the geese eat the food, things get unsanitary in the lakes and on the beaches, which leads to them closing because it takes time to clean the water.

Police say that if anyone is caught feeding the geese or other wildlife, they will be issued a summons.

Due to similar issues listed above, police add that there is another borough ordinance that states pets are not allowed on the beach and/or in the water at Lake Horicon.

These ordinances are to ensure that residents can enjoy the lake and beach area safely.
