An Eatontown man is being charged with allegedly luring two 13-year old girls in Sea Bright into his car under guise of a 17-year old boy with the intent on having intercourse with the two young teens.

Monmouth County Prosecutor Chris Gramiccioni announce the luring charge of 27-year old Nathan Cohen Thursday morning who is also facing charges for first degree kidnapping, second degree child luring, third degree endangering the welfare of a child, third degree possession of child pornography and third degree aggravated criminal sexual contact.

Cohen was found in his car Monday morning on a dead end street in Sea Bright by police who said they spotted him in the back seat with his arms wrapped around the two 13-year old girls.

Police then immediately arrested Cohen at the scene and brought him to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution where he remains pending a detention hearing.

An investigation by borough police and the Monmouth County Prosecutors Office SVU Bureau learned that Cohen had represented himself as a 17-year old boy to the minors and had exchanged sexually explicit images and videos with them with hopes of arranging to see the girls in person.

If convicted, Cohen is facing up to life in imprison on the kidnapping charge, up to ten years imprisonment on the child luring charge and up to 5 years imprisonment on the endangering the welfare of a child, aggravated criminal sexual contact and possession of child pornography charges, respectively.

In addition, Cohen would be subject to parole supervision for life and required to register under Megan’s Law.

Sea Bright Police and the MCPO-SVU are seeking additional information about Cohen’s activities.
