The Expo Theater at the decommissioned Fort Monmouth in Oceanport is up for sale!

According to APP.com, The hope is that the new owner will continue to use the site as a place, "for the arts, cultural and entertainment that the district envisioned for the fort."

The deputy director of the Fort Monmouth Economic Revitalization Authority, David Nuse said that using the theater for the arts would be the, "best use of the property...regardless of whether the building is adaptively reused or demolished."

May I also mention that studies have proven that kids who study the arts get higher SAT scores!

The theater was build back in 1968 and went out for public bid on June 17th. The bid process is 60 days.
