Why Fall Is The Most Dangerous Driving Season In New Jersey
Driving in New Jersey comes with its fair share of challenges, long commutes, busy roads, and bumper-to-bumper traffic. But if you're wondering what the most dangerous season for driving is in New Jersey...we're entering it now...fall!

According to the vehicle data company CARFAX, fall is even more dangerous for drivers than winter.
Despite icy and snowy conditions, it's the increased risk of deer suddenly darting into the road that makes this time of year extremely dangerous, especially in New Jersey.

Watch Out For Deer While Driving This Fall
And it's not just the back roads where you have to be careful.
Just the other day, a deer darted out in the middle of rush hour while I was driving on 295!! It was crazy!
Also, as the days grow shorter, statistics show that drivers are more likely to be involved in an accident after dark than during daylight hours.
States With The Most Crashes In The Fall
California, Texas, New York, Illinois, Georgia, North Carolina, Michigan, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Missouri, and Wisconsin.
“Seasonal shifts can bring new risks on the road, making this a good time to slow down, stay alert, and check for maintenance or open recalls to ensure the safety of the vehicle and everyone on the road,” said Faisal Hasan, Vice President of Data Acquisition at CARFAX.
Definitely take it easy, and be extra aware when driving in the upcoming months.
