Father from Lakehurst Badly Injured; Family Needs Help
This past Sunday Mike, a father of two from Lakehurst, suffered a horrible accident.
Mike took a fall from a tree and fell about 26 feet. He was able to reach his brother by phone for help.
His brother got him into an ambulance and then Mikey was airlifted to Jersey Shore University Medical Center. Several scans revealed that he has many broken bones.
Mike's list of injuries includes a shattered pelvis (front and back), a cracked hip, fractured sacrum, and 4 fractured vertebrae in his back . He has undergone hours of surgery. It will take months for him to heal once he is sent home to recuperate, and then he will have to undergo rehab.
He is not allowed to put full weight on his legs at this time (a shift in his sacrum could cause nerve damage.) Mike will need a lot of medical equipment for his daily life and will have to rely on his family on a daily basis.
Mike is a mason and provides for his fiance and two young daughters. He will now be out of work for a long while which will create a financial hardship on his family.
Mike's aunt says any dollar amount donated to Tina and the girls would be appreciated and asks that you please share this fundraising link even if you can't donate.
The family is also asking for prayers for Mike,Tina and their daughters during the very long road ahead of them.
