Some new clothing? Maybe a special outing or experience you can enjoy together? Sometimes the best gifts aren't the ones you spend a lot of money on.

This Father's Day, It's All About Making Memories Together

Whether it's taking a long walk together, going fishing, or just spending the day doing something Dad enjoys, those are the memories that are often way more meaningful.

That said, consumer spending has continued to climb over the years, and several indicators point to the trend continuing in 2026, but people aren't buying Dad a necktie  anymore.

What ARE people buying for dad?

Shared Moments Are The Best Father's Day Gifts

It's all about the experience. According to a recent studyspecial outings reached an estimated $4.8 billion in recent years, making experiences the top category by dollar volume, with ages 35 to 44 spending the most money, averaging $278.90 per person in 2025.

This is $79 above the national average.

Dinners, sporting events, and concerts have become the #1 Father's Day presents. I love this! Time together is what dads say they appreciate most.

It's those experiences that you'll be talking about long after Father's Day, which is always the best gift!

Happy Father's Day!!
