The Count Basie Center For The Arts, in association with The State of New Jersey's North2Shore Festival, is proud to announce the initial lineup for ParkStage, a brand new live entertainment venue located at the East Freehold Fairgrounds. Yes, the same fairgrounds that host the Monmouth County Fair every year are about to level up in a big way.

ParkStage is all about flexibility, which is great news for fans who like options. There will be elevated VIP platforms for those who want a premium view, an up-front pit section for those who want to be right in the action, and a large general admission area that gives the festival a wide-open summer concert feel. It is the kind of setup that works just as well for a high-energy rock show as it does for a laid-back night of comedy or pop.

What makes this even more interesting is the timing. ParkStage is launching as part of Monmouth County’s broader effort to mark the 250th anniversary of the United States, along with celebrating the Count Basie Center’s 100th anniversary. That combination gives this venue some real cultural weight, and it is clear that the goal is to make it a marquee destination for live entertainment in New Jersey.

The location helps too. More than 2.3 million people live within 25 miles of the venue, making it an easy drive from just about anywhere in Central Jersey and beyond. Major roadways make getting there simple, and once you arrive, there is free on-site parking and a scenic setting that blends open space with modern amenities. No circling for parking, no cramped walkways, just a smooth experience from arrival to encore.

The first batch of entertainers has been announced.
