Which State Has The Most Ghost Sightings?

Of course, you know you'll be able to find data on the internet regarding this topic. We did, and you may not like the results, unless you're looking to see a ghost.

The New York Post recently ran an article that tackled the question of which states are the most likely to see a ghost.

Fortunately for Garden State residents, New Jersey is not at the top of this list. But that doesn't mean there's no chance we'll see a ghost here.

How Many Ghost Sightings Are Reported In New Jersey?

For the record, and for purposes of comparison, New York was the state named the most likely to see a ghost, with 82 sightings per 10,000 people.

Behind the Big Apple, at #2, were Texas (77 per 10,000) and Louisiana (74 per 10,000). So where did New Jersey rank?

Despite New Jersey's beloved town of Cape May, where ghost sightings are legendary, the Garden State lands in the middle of the pack, only averaging ghost sighting reports from 34 in 10,000 residents.
