National Hot Dog Day takes place on July 17th and Nathan's Famous restaurants are offering 5-cent hotdogs to celebrate the big day!
"The price tag represents the original price of a hot dog when the chain's first restaurant opened in 1916," according to the Asbury Park Press.
According to a recent study by US Foods, 91 percent of the 1,000 people polled think that hot dogs are an American staple food, but the big question is what do most popular consider to be the best hot dog topping?

People in Pennsylvania prefer ketchup.
Those living in New York like onions.
Here in New Jersey, we prefer ketchup too.
