I want to send a HUGE shout out to the Asbury-based IBEW (International Brotherhood Of Electrical Workers) who recently went above and beyond for our healthcare workers.

This amazing group of people just donated $25,000 worth of PPE supplies to nine hospitals throughout Monmouth and Ocean Counties. Equipment included surgical masks, KN95 masks, hand sanitizer and food.

“Our hospitals and healthcare workers are in the fight of their lives, and we all need to help out in any way we can," said Robert Shimko, Business Manager, IBEW 400. "During this critical time, there is nothing more important than the protection of our healthcare heroes on the front lines fighting this virus. On behalf of our 600 members, we thank you for your service, dedication, and compassion during this coronavirus fight.”

Drop offs occurred between Thursday, April 23rd and Monday, April 27th so they JUST finished donating yesterday.

To everyone working tirelessly at all of the hospitals, urgent care and other medical facilities: THANK YOU.

And to IBEW, thank you so much for taking the time to give our healthcare workers the supplies that they need to continue to fight on the front lines.

There is just so much positive here I can't help but smile.
