Introducing the Jersey Shore’s Favorite Nurse

The 2020 94.3 The Point MVP Awards are underway as we recognize extraordinary people at the Jersey Shore.

We asked you to nominate a local nurse that goes above and beyond and is truly remarkable.

From there we asked our listeners, families, and friends to vote for their favorite nurse on the 94.3 The Point APP.

The results are in.

Congratulations to Lyndsay DeLuca, a nurse at Hackensack Meridian Jersey Shore Medical Center! She is the winner of our 2020 MVP Award for Favorite Nurse at the Jersey Shore.

Lyndsay's friend Rachel sent in this heartfelt nomination.

I nominate my best friend Lyndsay DeLuca. Lyndsay is a nurse at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, NJ. Lyndsay grew up in Manasquan and graduated in 2003. She graduated from the Brookdale Community College Nursing Program. She recently graduated from Chamberlain University College of Nursing while working to finish her clinical hours. As a single mom working to provide for herself and her daughter, she has worked throughout the pandemic on the frontlines. Lyndsay has been working so hard and deserves so much. Recently she mentioned saving for engraving her father's headstone at St. Catherine’s Cemetery. As recent as this evening, a deer jumped in front of her car causing expensive damage to her vehicle. Thankfully she and her daughter were ok, the car not so much. With only a few days before the holidays, a Christmas miracle would be to bring some light to this strong, beautiful soul. Thank you for always recognizing all our nurses!

I asked Lyndsay to describe what a day at work is like for her and her fellow nurses.

Lyndsay added:

Thank you for recognizing nurses and all their work!!! The Brennan 3 nurses at Jersey Shore are the most hard-working dedicated individuals and they put 100 percent of themselves into taking care of their patients.

 

I think I can speak for the Jersey Shore when I say thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the hard work and sacrifices you make each and every day to keep us safe and healthy. We love all of our Jersey Shore nurses!
