The end of an era has come in one popular Jersey Shore town.

There's nothing more upsetting than seeing the closure of a popular small business, especially one that's been around for nearly half a century.

But it happens.

More than we'd like to see too.

And now it looks like one of Ocean City, NJ's most popular little businesses is officially gone for good.

Ocean City, NJ's 34th Street Market Has Been Demolished.

Now, it was announced a while back that the 34th Street Market had closed its doors for good a few months ago.

But now the popular little farmers market that was known for renting bikes out to people on vacation, serving up fresh scooped ice cream, and just being a cool little farmers market is officially gone.

Philly Voice reports that the market was demolished late last week.

Then the 34th Street Market posted this photo on their Instagram of the torn down structure.

It kind of ripped my heart out a little bit seeing that. I remember as a kid going to the place when we'd day trip to Ocean City.

It's a place that always held a special place in my heart, and the Jersey Shore just won't be quite the same without it.

What's Replacing The 34th Street Market In Ocean City, NJ?

Now this may come as a shocker but it looks like the land will be developed into condos.

According to Philly Voice, the plans for the land include four condo units that sit on top of some retail space.

Just what we need at the shore; more condos people can't afford, personally I'd have preferred the Market stayed put.

It's not all bad news though, living in Jersey still has a lot to offer people, and these are 15 of the best places in the Garden State to call home.
