A very popular Italian restaurant in Long Branch is getting ready to close, but it's not due to inflation, a staffing shortage, or any of the typical reasons we see nowadays.

I'm not going to lie, it's not often you see a restaurant close like this and it's impressive.

The restaurant has been kind of a staple in Long Branch since it opened in the 1940s, before that the building was home to a barber shop, according to APP.

Even when the pandemic hit, this place was able to keep its doors open by coming up with a quick way to get its food to customers via take-out.

At this time APP, and Joe Tuzzio reports that they aren't wholly sure what will become of the restaurant.

The building and liquor license were both sold and will be finalized come January.

Rumor has it the building may become residential, but nothing's been confirmed.
