Moving is definitely a stressful part of life.

This was always a store that was a great go-to for finding items that you needed for your new apartment or your new home.

Sometimes, it was just great to walk in the door and browse.  That was always a great way to get ideas for that one room, let’s be honest – we all have that one room, that may have been neglected for some time.

Unfortunately, we may be seeing more of these stores disappearing over the next couple of years.

Not to mention, that this store was always a lifesaver when you had to go to a wedding or housewarming party.

Once again, Bed Bath & Beyond is facing another series of closures as its struggles continue.  Today, the company announced that it will have to close approximately 150 stores nationwide.

If you remember, two years ago, three New Jersey locations were affected by closures.  One, being right here at the Jersey Shore, at their Howell location.

Bed Bath & Beyond Locations at the Jersey Shore

The Shore still has multiple locations in full operation.  These include Brick, Manahawkin, Eatontown, and Manalapan.

According to Reuters there have been a few factors that led to this decision today. (LINK

“[Bed Bath & Beyond] has seen its fortunes falter after an attempt to sell more of its brand, or private label, goods. The COVID-19 pandemic, supply chain crunch and consumer pullback on shopping due to sky-high inflation also hit the chain's sales.”

The full list of new closures has not been disclosed but 150 stores is a big number.  We’ll keep you updated if any New Jersey locations end up on the sheet.

Bed Bath & Beyond CFO has died

This story has taken a tragic turn as, according to Reuters, the CFO, Gustavo Arnal, fell to his death from a New York City skyscraper.  The tower he fell from was known as the "Jenga" tower.

Bed Bath & Beyond reveals three more New Jersey locations that will close with one at the Jersey Shore.
