Foodies! It’s New Jersey’s Best Diner and It’s One of the Best in the Nation

One of our favorite things to do when it comes to dining out is to find fantastic Jersey diners to try out. There is nothing like a good Jersey diner. It's something many places try to replicate, but never seem to be able to do completely.

When it comes to Jersey diners is the menu, food, and atmosphere that make them so unique. There are many quality diners throughout the Garden State and we probably all have our favorites and our favorite dishes.

Do you know what a Monte Cristo is? It may be one of my favorite "diner" dishes. According to Striped Spatula,  "At its core, the Monte Cristo is made as a double or triple decker with ham, turkey, and Swiss cheese. The assembled sandwich is then dipped into an egg batter or custard and pan fried or deep fried until golden. In the Southern United States, it also sometimes includes a crunchy breading, such as crushed corn flakes."

This may just be my favorite "diner" sandwich and more often than not, this is my go-to dish at Jersey diners. If "Monte Cristo" isn't on the menu, then it's a look at their other sandwiches like burgers, liverwurst, and onion, or club sandwich.

So when it comes to the "best diner" in New Jersey it is no easy task to find our winner. According to Lovefood, they selected Tops Diner in Harrison (500 Passaic Ave, East Newark, NJ 07029) as Jersey's best.

Lovefood said "Tops Diner has been serving up delicious diner food and warm customer service since 1942, and has managed to stay relevant and stylish through the decades. Of course, it’s the food that keeps people coming back. Menu staples include meatloaf, chicken and waffles, fresh seafood platters, and lobster mac ‘n’ cheese."
