So you have probably been to the store and seen what is not on the shelves as Jersey residents prepare for what could be a couple of days of snowed-in conditions following this latest storm. This has been a rough winter with cold temps and storms.

You have the bread, milk, wine, etc., but what are you forgetting? Here is a list of important items you may wanna check supply for, just in case you aren't able to get out til Tuesday or even Wednesday. As they say, "Better Safe Than Sorry".

  • Prescriptions: Do you have enough on hand? Any that are about to run out have filled.
  • Pet Food: You have your snacks, but do your pets have what they will need? They can't go to the store.
  • Baby Needs: Parents, do you have formula, diapers, etc? Don't forget the babies.
  • The Elderly: Do your seniors in your life have what they will need? Good chance they might not venture out for days.
  • Non-Perishable Food: Have some stables that won't need refrigeration, should power goes out. Like peanut butter, canned tuna/chicken, jerky, trail mix, seeds, and dried fruit, etc.
  • Batteries, if our electronics go dead, battery-operated radios, flash lights etc come in handy.
  • Water: Yes, you have the wine, but don't forget some water for everyone.

Additionally, start charging your tech now: phones, laptops, tablets, etc. So if power goes out, your items are fully charged.

Fill your vehicles with gas. Don't get caught low on gas in case you can't get gas.
