Is The Tesla Cybertruck The New Pontiac Aztec Of Trucks?

The AMC Gremlin, Ford Pinto and Pontiac Aztec all have something in common. They are considered among the worst-looking cars ever produced and the Aztec was an epic failure lasting just five years before GM pulled the plug in 2005. There are several current vehicles on the road today that are not exactly eye-catching for good reasons but none more than Elon Musk’s Tesla Cybertruck.

My guess is most people when shopping for a new vehicle are first attracted by the outside, much like you might view someone from meeting them for the first time. It’s that initial appearance that often results in your interest in knowing more about them. When it comes to a car or SUV you often won’t even look inside if you don’t like the way it looks. While I have not seen the inside of a Tesla Cybertruck I would have little interest because the outside reminds me of something that could have appeared in the 1981 film “Stripes.” I can see Bill Murray and Harold Ramis driving this instead of the Urban Assault Vehicle they used to outsmart the Soviets. (Of course if you haven’t seen “Stripes” you have no idea what I’m talking about.
Anyway the point of this is I think the Cybertruck looks out of place on the road…any road. Described as a revolutionary electric truck built for adventure and comfort with a durable, unique exterior and spacious interior the 2025 model starts at $72,000 and can go much higher than that.
If you have one I would be interested in a quick ride.
