Vampires in the Garden State: Top Cities Ranked

Vampire-friendly cities might sound a bit peculiar and eerie, don't they? But with Halloween lurking around the corner, the timing couldn't be more perfect. And believe it or not, this seemingly spooky survey has a noble purpose.

The folks at Lawnlove.com have taken it upon themselves to discover the most 'Vampire-friendly' city in the country, and there's a unique twist to their ranking – they're using it as a clever way to encourage blood donations in each city.

To come up with the spooky ranking, they considered a few key factors. They looked at the population or, as they say, 'warm bodies', the number of blood donation sites, and the presence of 'vampire-friendly' elements like basements and casket suppliers (yes, that's a little creepy).

They also factored in the presence of vampire-related entertainment, such as vampire tours, to add an extra layer of fun. Finally, they took into account the amount of sunlight, or rather, the lack of it, because, as we all know, vampires aren't fans of the sun.

Before we unveil the New Jersey cities on the list, hang tight; I'll share the top 5 cities with you.

As you might have anticipated, the leading city for vampires is none other than New York City. They've clinched the top spot, consistently ranking 1 or 2 in all the criteria areas -- with casket supplies coming in at number 3 for them.

Completing the top 5, we have Chicago securing the second spot, Columbus, Ohio, at number 3, our friends in Philadelphia claiming the fourth position and Los Angeles rounding out the top 5 at number 5.

It appears that New Jersey isn't the most vampire-friendly state, with Trenton being the sole representative in the Top 100, securing the 81st position. As for other cities in our state, Jersey City came in at 236th place, Paterson at 259th, Clifton at 287th, and Elizabeth at 296th.

I found this list enjoyable. It's a light-hearted way to educate and motivate people to donate blood, particularly given the national shortage.
