Knowing all this, it makes sense that New Jersey's highways rank last in the country!  I was a little shocked that we ranked worse than places like California or New York, but per NJ.com, the low ranking was due to high road maintenance costs and construction.

Some of the roads on this list prove that point.  I specifically remember one of these roads being under construction for what seemed like ages, which also backed up traffic in the surrounding areas.

And don't even get me started on the potholes.  Some of these roads have so many holes, you feel like you're on a ride at Great Adventure.  And how is it that after they're paved over, it always seems like it snows and creates more issues?

Misery loves company, right?  If we have to drive through these roads no matter how hard we try to avoid them, we might as well have a good laugh together, right?

Take a look at 10 New Jersey roads you avoid like the plague.  I'm sure there are many more on here that I didn't mention.  I'd love to hear what I missed - tell me by using the chat feature on the 92.7 WOBM app.  And let me know how many of these roads you're forced to drive on daily!
