Very exciting weekend with world-renowned Chef Gordon Ramsey dining at the Jersey Shore. According to Gordon Ramsey's Facebook page, he got a chance to visit the Black Swan in Asbury Park, New Jersey.

Pretty cool that Gordon Ramsey swung by Asbury to visit the Black Swan. According to Ramsey's social media "One of Jersey’s best !! Great seeing @chefjamesavery and dining at his @theblackswanap pub last night !"

So what's the background on the Black Swan? It's located at 601 Mattison Ave, Asbury Park, NJ 07712. According to their website, the Black Swan is "A European Gastropub by Chef James Avery".

“I purposefully divided the restaurant into four distinct areas in order to offer something for everyone and I encourage all our neighbors to stop in at any hour, day or night. So come raise a glass with me at The Black Swan Public House, where everyone is welcome.” - Chef James

Personally, I have not had a chance to visit the Black Swan, but now I am intrigued and will be heading over for a meal and taking in the vibe of this "gastropub". I am a big fan of Shepard's Pie and Fish & Chips, so this will not be a hard trip to plan. We would love to hear your reviews of the Black Swan, so post your comments below.

In addition to the Shepard's Pie, I'd like to sample their "Scotch Egg" appetizer, something you don't find on all menus. Also, I'll have to try the mussel arrabbiata.
