Every year, USA Today ranks the 10 Best Small Towns in the Northeast. The prestigious list reportedly bases its findings on small towns that possess 'the most local charm, tastiest cuisine and best attractions', according to Patch.com.

In 2023, Cape May, New Jersey landed at #1. The southernmost Jersey Shore town has an opportunity to defend its title this year.
The 20 2024 nominees for Best Small Town in the Northeast come from all up and down the eastern seaboard from Maine to Pennsylvania.
While P.A. has five small towns competing to be named 'best' (Gettysburg, Jim Thorpe, Ohiopyle, Sewickly, and Wellsboro), New Jersey is only represented in the Top 20 by three small towns.

Cape May, New Jersey
Lambertville, New Jersey
Morristown, New Jersey
At the time this story is being written, Lambertville has the highest number of votes for a New Jersey town to be named 'Best Small Town in the Northeast' by USA Today, followed by Cape May and then, Morristown.
The top vote getter at the moment is Ohiopyle, Pennsylvania. The winning small town will be announced by USA Today on Wednesday, April 10th.
