Jackson Police need your help finding hit-and-run driver who struck pedestrian
Jackson Police are asking for your help in identifying the driver and vehicle responsible for a hit-and-run that left a pedestrian suffering from serious injuries.
The accident took place on May 23 after 6:00 pm along Cedar Swamp Road.
Police said that a light colored SUV, "possibly a white or silver Chrysler Aspen", was heading north bound when the driver left their lane of travel and hit a man, lated identified as Paul Reed Jr. who had been walking in the shoulder of the road.
The driver kept on going after hitting Reed Jr. and police learned through video surveillance that head went southbound past the accident site after initially going northbound.
Police say the passenger side mirror of the SUV broke off of the vehicle when the driver hit the pedestrian, as it was left behind at the scene.
The passenger side front fender also sustained a dent and "there appears to be black scuff marks on the driver side front bumper."
