Jackson Police are looking for witnesses as they investigate a car accident that took place at the intersection of Cedar Swamp Road and West Commodore Boulevard on Sunday around 6:00 pm.

Police said that William Hearon, 74, of Jackson was heading west in a 2018 Kia Forte on Commodore Boulevard but failed to stop at a red light that crossed at Cedar Swamp Road and was hit by an oncoming 2005 Dodge Ram Pickup truck driven by James Miller, 51, of Jackson.

Hearon had suffered multiple injuries and was flown via MEDEVAC to Jersey Shore University Medical Center.

All occupants of Miller's vehicle including Barbara Miller, 52 and a back seat passenger who is 14-years old  were checked and released at the scene.

The crash is under investigation by P.O. Falzarano of the Jackson Township Police Dept. Traffic Safety Unit.
