This past weekend, I had the privilege of attending the Jar Of Hope's Annual Gala at the Event Center in Freehold.

The night kicked off with Nicole interviewing various VIP attendees who have gone above and beyond for the cause which in and of itself is amazing.

The night was a glamorous opportunity to raise a massive amount of money to raise awareness and hopefully find a cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. There were really some amazing giveaways including a Lobster Bake that would be delivered and prepared at your own home for 20 people and tickets to see the Yankees from a VIP box.

A humongous thank you to Jar Of Hope co-founders Jim and Karen Raffone -- who created this organization shortly after finding out their son, Jamesy has Duchenne -- for involving 94.3 The Point with this worthy cause.

There are thousands of young boys who by the age of 17 years old will not be able to stand on their own or even give their own parents a hug because of the muscle degeneration that this disease causes. And unfortunately, there is no cure -- YET.

The best way for you to get involved is to head to JarOfHope.org to learn more about this disease and the organization. They have various events coming up but in addition, PLEASE DONATE!
