JCP&L Customers Without Power Can Pick Up Free Water and Ice
If you're a JCP&L customer still without power after yesterday's nor'easter, the company is trying to make things a little easier for you while crews work to fix the problem.
At this point there are less than 200 customers reported without power. While they estimate that most customers in Monmouth and Ocean Counties should have power restored by 4 p.m. today, in the meantime, they're offering free ice and water to customers still in the dark.
All you have to do is head to a participating store to pick it up:

At the very least you can use the ice to keep food and medications cold, and depending what kind of system your house uses, you may need to use the water for cooking, bathing, or...flushing.
I've seen a lot of crews working in awful conditions to get everyone's power back on, hopefully everyone's lights (and heat) come back on soon!
