The Church of St. Leo The Great in Lincroft holds their annual Carnival Monday, June 18th through Saturday, June 23rd with classic carnival games, food, tasty treats, rides, games and more. 

Thursday night its Dog’s Night Out in downtown Keyport, part of the Keyport Thursdays. Families are encouraged to bring their canine companions to socialize on a closed West Front Street and enjoy outdoor shopping, live music and a movie, 6 to 9 PM.

Thursday Night it’s a free concert on the Pier Village Long Branch Boardwalk with Motor City Review, 7 to 9 PM. In case of inclement weather concert will be held at the Long Branch Middle School Auditorium.

Thursday, Stumpy’s Hatchet House hosts their Midsummer Viking Party. Come wearing your flower wreath or your Viking helmet and be prepared to sing, dance and throw hatchets! 7 – 10 PM

Friday night enjoy a bon fire on the beach, 5th Avenue Beach in Asbury Park, 7 PM

Saturday its Women in the Waves Surf Session and intro to Surfing on North Beach in Asbury Park, 9 AM to 2 PM. Women in the Waves is a program  that seeks to increase the number of women in the sport through lessons and surf sessions that are reserved just for the women in the group. Boards are available to borrow.

Next Saturday and Sunday it’s the sweetest weekend at the Jersey Shore as Monmouth Park Racetrack Hosts the Annual Wine and Chocolate Festival. Enjoy elegant wine tasting along with some of the area’s best chocolatiers and dessert vendors… chocolate lounge anyone??

Allaire Bacon, Bikes and Brews happens next Saturday and Sunday at the Historic Village of Allaire with food trucks, live music, a beer and wine garden with high top tables and chairs, an antique motorcycle display, activities for the kids, craft vendors and more.

Saturday, Cross & Orange in Asbury Park presents the First Annual Asbury Park Rosé Fest in Kennedy Park.  We’re talking Rosé sampling, cocktails made with Rosé based spirits, live music, hors d’oeurves from the Cross & Orange Culinary Team, prizes, giveaways and more, 2 to 6 PM.

Play it forward Saturday at the Summer Soul BBQ Series at JBJ Soul Kitchen.  Enjoy an evening in the Soul Kitchen Garden while supporting their mission to alleviate hunger, 4 to 7 PM.

Calling all amateur paleontologists… Dig up some Middletown history at Poricy Brook Fossil Beds Community Fossil Hunt. Meet at the Poricy Park Nature Center for a short orientation before travelling to the fossil beds. An experienced guide will provide you with a trowel and sifter, as well as help you identify your treasures. Please wear rubber boots or old sneakers as your feet will get wet, Sunday 11 AM to 1 PM.

Sunday, it’s a Family Fun Day at the Pier Village Arcade in Long Branch.  Enjoy boardwalk fun and games for the whole family Sunday nights through Labor Day, 4 to 6 PM.
