UPDATE: According to APP.com, Lisa Cramp's GoFundMe Page to buy beach badges for low-income children and their parents has raised approximately $6,900 as of yesterday (6/20)!

"I'm proud of live in a giving community that wants to see families on the beach," said Cramp.

The goal for Wonder Bar bartender, Lisa Cramp, is simple: get everyone to enjoy the beach this Summer.

However, not everyone is able to afford the $70.00 Asbury Park beach passes for adults with over 30% of Seaside City falling under the poverty line.

"Asbury Park has now become two separate communities; you know, people who can afford the beach and those who can't," said Cramp. "I think the beach should be free for everyone."

So to do her part of getting everyone to feel the sand between their toes, Lisa has selflessly started a GoFundMe campaign to raise money that will be used to buy seasonal beach badges for families who cannot afford them.

This is so beyond fantastic and is something that I hope everyone jumps at the change to get involved in!

Lisa became even more inspired after she saw kids going to the beach after hours to enjoy the sea when it is free. The issue with this is that when the beach is free, there are no lifeguards on duty which is a major safety issue. When asked about expanding the lifeguards' hours, she was told there is not enough money in the budget.

Almost $5,000 has already been raised and we are hoping that it does not stop there! The beach is something created by Mother Nature so therefore, EVERYONE, no matter their financial situation, should be able to enjoy it when they please.
