7 Awesome Jersey Shore Mexican Restaurants
Forget Chipotle! There are plenty of places at the Shore to get authentic Mexican food. Here are my seven faves.
Juanitos - Red Bank
If you want to grab a bite before a show at the Count Basie, Juanito's is a must. I would suggest the steak burrito for sure. Just a heads up, BYOB.
Casa Comida - Oceanport
Two words. Smothered chimichangas. Casa is right near Monmouth Park off 36. The owner says the 100 year old structure is haunted.
Dona Julia - Point Pleasant Beach
Their fish burrito is the best! You also get a very authentic Mexican feel when inside.
Plaza Tapita - Asbury Park
The guac is insane! Definitely go for the chicken tostadas and enchiladas. Absolutely the best sangria I've had.
Aby's Mexican Restaurant - Matawan
Get a load of Hongo borracho, Portabella mushrom, Chicken breast, jumbo shrimp, asparragus and golden tequila sauce with a touch of white wine and lime juice. Oh, Aby's also knows what "hot" sauce really is. They also deliver.
10th Ave. Burrito - Belmar
The best fish tacos I've ever had. The atmosphere is tops at the Shore hands down. Do not leave 10th Ave. without wrapping up your meal with a deep fried brownie...with bacon!!
Azteca Mexican Restaurant - Toms River
It's all about the guacamole! Azteca is always offering specials and quality, authentic food.
