It's a mouthful, but it's the best way to describe it. The Jersey Shore's patience in parking lots is pretty pathetic, especially this time of year.

I know the Jersey Shore, and I love the Jersey Shore. The Jersey Shore consists of good, generous people, but you would never know that if you find yourself driving through a mall or shopping center parking lot this time of year.

And this year seems to be bringing some especially angry driving to your local parking lot. What happens to us that we are constantly in a hurry, ready with a flurry of curses, and so impatient that we think everybody else is an idiot?

I get it, it's not easy to find a spot, it's not easy to finish your shopping, and it's not easy to maneuver around these ridiculously designed parking lots. Look, this isn't an easy time of year.

But do we really have to be constantly on the verge of mentally boiling over with every move every other driver makes in a parking lot? It doesn't exactly make for a holly, jolly Christmas, does it?

I get that some really bad drivers do some really jaw dropping things this time of year, and the parking lot seems to be the testing grounds for expanding our understanding of disbelief, but somebody has to rise above and calm this whole thing down.

Let's remember that we are all the same people who fill huge containers with toys for kids in need and we're the same people who fill kettles with cash this time of year, but somehow we temporarily forget that when we are in need of a parking space.

So, let's all take a deep breath and do a little better today. It's not easy, but I know we can do it!
