If your heart is breaking for the Kangaroos, Koala Bears, and all of the other wildlife in Australia as the country battles devastating wildfires, here is a real hands-on way you can help if you knit, crochet, or sew.

The growing Facebook group Animal Rescue Craft Guild was created to use the talent of those who knit, crochet, or sew to help in animal rescue.

Now with the wildfires in Australia, what's needed most are Joey pouches in various sizes, Koala mittens, bat wraps with pillows, bird and rodent nests, and hanging pouches.

Sewers can make quilts, blankets and sweaters.

There are tutorials, approved patterns, and info on sizes, linings, and materials that you can get by CLICKING HERE and CLICKING HERE.

If you don't knit or crochet but can make a donation toward possum and bird boxes, and animal beds, that would also be a big help. Money raised will also go toward postage costs, fuel, and craft materials for knitters to make and ship supplies.

So if you know any travelers leaving for Australia, wouldn't it be great to send with them some 'Joey Pouches' to help the wildlife rescues?

The Animal Rescue Craft Guild is part of The Rescue Collective and Animal Rescue Collective (ARC). They are all one team working alongside many rescue groups in several fire zones. 100% volunteer run. To make a donation, CLICK HERE.

The Australia wildfires have spread over millions of acres leaving both people and wildlife misplaced.
