Next week, September 24-30 is Diaper Need Awareness Week. Now more than ever, Child Care Resources needs your help.

Child Care Resources of Monmouth County at 3301C Route 66 in Neptune connects parents, child care providers and community leaders with regards to childcare.

Executive Director Kim Perrelli makes an excellent point when she says:

Just as food banks are a reliable source of support for families in need, diaper banks provide a basic need for families in crisis.

Kim told me that 4,028 children less than 5 years old live in poverty in Monmouth County. Child Care Resources is bringing awareness and relief to diaper need – the lack of a sufficient supply of diapers to remain clean, dry and healthy.

There are several ways you can help. Drop off diapers and wipes to Child Care Resources' Diaper Bank in Neptune (sizes 4. 5, and 6 and training pants in all sizes are in demand most.) You can make a donation on CCR's website, or you can hold your own diaper drive at home, or at work. Details on how to organize a drive can be found, here.

There's a Child Care Resources Center in every County of New Jersey.
