New Jersey is among a vast majority of states, 43 to be exact, where the flu is "widespread", according to the CDC.
The most common flu this season so far is influenza A (H3N2) virus, and according to a report at msn.com, this year's vaccine " may not be a good match ". The report also says that flu hospitalizations are at 12.6 per 100,000 for all ages. Last year that rate was 5.8 per 100,000.
