We all know Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin is from New Jersey, but he is not the only astronaut to hail from the Garden State.

Of course, the first American woman to walk in space, Kathryn Dwyer Sullivan, was born in Paterson,  Mark L. Polansky is from Paterson as well, and  Kenneth Ham is from Plainfield.

Wally Schirra, from Hackensack, holds the record as the first astronaut to fly three times. He flew on Mercury 8, Gemini 6A, and Apollo 7. He passed away in 2007.
