We find ourselves in the midst of a cold New Jersey winter, and that might be the perfect time to daydream about the perfect summer day at the Jersey Shore.

If you like to bounce around to different New Jersey spots on a hot summer day, that's great, but this is a story about the best Jersey Shore spot if you want to spend the day in one place.

Let's set the mood. It's early July, school is out, and the summer weather is making you dream about romping in the waves of the Atlantic Ocean.

For me, that's an easy one. I'm spending an awesome summer day at Jenkinson's Beach and Boardwalk.

The day starts with the perfect spot on the beach. You spread the blanket out and take your first stroll to the edge of the waves to get your feet wet and gauge the temperature of the water.

The morning is amazing. Seagulls sing, waves crash, the kids are having a great time, and the wife is smiling. Things are good.

Lunchtime comes, and you have to grab a table at  Martell's Tiki Bar. You'll love the food, the environment, and the amazing view.

If the kids get figity in the afternoon, take the best break ever at Jenkinson's Aquarium. The kids will love it.

A Perfect Summer Day in New Jersey

Then you can head over to the arcade, ride some rides, and get ready for a slice at Joey's Tomatoes.

After dinner, it's boardwalk games until the kids can't carry any more prizes. How perfect is that summer day?
