One of the many movies to be highlighted during the film festival this year is Hollywood Priest. The story of Father “Bud” Kieser. This documentary chronicles the work of Father Kieser in the entertainment world.

One of the most popular shows Father Bud was part of was the series “Insight” which for years featured some of Hollywoods best actors in dramatic rolls that tackled a host of various social issues, which still stand the test of time today.

We had the chance to have a conversation with Director Father Thomas Gibbons who put this project together. Father Gibbons is Director, Screen Writer and Producer of he Documentary.

Father Tom tells us about Father Bud and his story as both a Catholic Priest and a Hollywood producer. Among those taking part in the documentary are Martin Sheen, Bob Newhart, John Amos, Tim Matheson, Marion Ross, and many more.

The movie will be featured this weekend in Asbury Park with a showing at 3:45 pm Saturday, March 26th at the Berkeley Hotel and will stream online March 28th 12 am to April 3rd 11:59 pm.

I sat down to talk with Father Tom, from California, along with Lauren Concar Sheehy and Heather Brittain O’Scanlon from the Garden State Film Festival.
