Study Reveals That New Jersey Is One Of The Least Grumpy States

Despite all the bad jokes and our state's reputation, it turns out New Jersey is among the least grumpy states in America.

If someone asked you if you wanted to know just how grumpy New Jersey is, you probably wouldn't want to know, because deep down, we feel like we already know the answer.

But this time you are going to be surprised. There is a study published at Reward Expert that ranks all states in the United States to find out which state is the crankiest.

The news from this study is very refreshing for all of us here in the Garden State. Not only are we not among the most grumpy states in the nation, it turns out we are among the least grumpy.

If the results surprise you, you are not alone. New Jersey is so used to being on the bad end of these studies that we don't even know how to react when we do well.

The study reveals that only 7 states are less grumpy than we are. This is a big victory for all the happy people in New Jersey.

Here's another Garden State statistic in this study that may be hard to believe. It says that only 9% of New Jersey residents are grumpy. That's 1 in 10. I love New Jersey, but doesn't that seem low to you, too?

Regardless, we will certainly take these results as a big compliment and not ask too many questions.

For the record, Washington, D.C. was named the crankiest. Just over 14% of residents there are grumpy according to the study.
