One of two men involved in a conspiracy scheme to deal heroin and cocaine in New Jersey is heading to prison for the next ten years (120-months), announced U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger.

Tyrell Wilson, aka “Hell Rell,” 36, of Rahway, previously pleaded guilty in Newark federal court to an information charging him with one count of conspiracy to distribute 280 grams or more of cocaine base and one count of possession with intent to distribute 280 grams or more of cocaine base.

Wilson and his partner in this drug scheme, Marvin Lagrier, aka “Black Jesus,” 39, of Newark, were both charged in September of 2019 by complaint with conspiracy to distribute heroin and cocaine, and possession with the intent to distribute heroin and cocaine base.

Lagrier was indicted in October of 2019, then pleaded guilty in August of 2021, and is scheduled to be sentenced on April 5, 2022.

Wilson and Lagrier were arrested in September of 2019 for conspiring to sell at least 280 grams of cocaine base.

In addition to 10-years in prison, Wilson was also sentenced to five years of supervised release.

The government is represented by Assistant U.S. Attorney Tracey Agnew and Special Assistant U.S. Attorney Kendall Randolph of the U.S. Attorney’s Office Organized Crime/Gang Unit in Newark.
